Hello!
My name is Matt Hagmann and I am working towards becoming an English Language Arts teacher for 9th and 10th grade students! I chose to pursue teaching after 7 years of working for an after-school program. What once was a job that was simply a means to an end, became a true passion that required forward motion. As a teacher, I lean more towards a student-centered classroom, where I behave more as a moderator than an authoritarian. Similar to my learning style, I want my students to feel like they are an active part of the learning and have a voice in how we progress through the lessons. As an ESFJ, I want my students to feel that they can be successful and will be supported in my class. I aim to serve my students and continue to grow as an educator so as to better serve them and the education community. Thank you for reading!
